RSS chief to kick-start several welfare schemes for farmers
 
Bhaiyyu Maharaj's noble social initiatives for calamities free Marathwada
 
 
Beed (Maharashtra) : To celebrate accomplishments of various ongoing social initiatives being run by Shree Sadguru Datta Dharmik Evam Parmrthik Trust under inspiring leadership of spiritual guru Shree Bhaiyyu Maharaj in Marathwada region of Maharashtra, plagued with perennial problems of drought and increasing number of suicides by farmers, a mega social event, christened as - 'Manavta Ka Mahakumbh'  has been organized at Beed on Today (June 25).
The RSS Sarsanghchalak Dr. Mohan Bhagwat will be chief guest of the function, while Maharashtra BJP State president Ravsaheb Daanve, Maharashtra Rural Development, Women and Child Welfare Minister Ms Pankaja Munde, Dr Preetam Tai Munde (Beed Lok Sabha constituency),  Maharashtra State Minister Jaidutt Anna Kshirsagar, Mrs Rakshatai Khadse (Raver Lok Sabha constituency), Kunwar Harivansh Singh, Dr Subhas Bhamre and noted film producer Madhur Bhandarkar would be special guests of the function.
 
Giving details of the program, Shree Sadguru Datta Dharmik Evam Parmarthik Trust's trustee, Tushar Patil said that the RSS chief Dr Bhagwat who would be gracing the occasion as chief guest, will make customary inaugurations of various school projects and centres started by the Trust for imparting education to the children of Pardhi community, children of farmers who committed suicides as well as children of other deprived sections of the society in the auspicious presence of Bhaiyyu Maharaj and other dignitaries.
 In addition to this, Dr Bhagwat will also inaugurate a remand home for sugarcane farmers' children, a rehabilitation centre for prisoners, an old age home for the aged parents of sugarcane farmers, a mobile soil and water testing laboratory, mobile apps of Suryoday Pariwar and Bhaiyyu Maharaj. Besides, the RSS chief will also kick start an ambitious  `Higher Education at Your Door' project wherein as many as 50 centres would be opened in rural areas of the region to impart higher education teachings to the poor students.
 
Apart from inauguration of  schools and other institutions,  Dr Bhagwat  will kick-start several schemes being run by the Trust for uplifting socio-economic conditions of the poor and farmers of Marathwada, Patil said  adding that spiritual guru Bhaiyyu Maharaj apparently peeved over the plights of the farmers, the poor in Marathwada region caused by perpetual drought and other natural calamities, took 21 points resolutions at the beginning of the current year to make Marathwada a calamities free region. Of various resolutions taken by the Trust, majority of them have been accomplished well within the stipulated time period. This includes deepening and widening of as many as 426 nullahs with a total length of 45 kms in Beed and Osmanabad dists of Maharashtra.
 
Patil said that unnerved by increasing number of suicides in the region, the Trust  under inspiring guidance of Bhaiyyu Maharaj has distributed grains among 2,500 suicide hit farmers' families in Beed and Osmanabad districts and  has taken responsibilities of providing employment to unemployed members of suicide hit families and educate their children. Talking about other welfare schemes started by his Trust, he said the trust will  distribute genetically improved seeds among 10,000 farmers of the region so as to help farmers, improve agriculture yields even during the scanty rainfall. Similarly to improve fertility of the soil of the drought hit region, the Trust has launched land reform scheme in as many as 153 villages of Beed district. A formal launch of this scheme would be made by the RSS chief, Patil said adding that participation of the RSS Sarsanghchalak  in this mega event assumes significance as the latter feels that such noble initiatives would spur other people of the likes of Bhaiyyu Maharaj to carry out social initiatives for  the poor and the farmers.
